The Servo Direct Connect allows you to power a servo directly with an external BEC. Designed to be a simple plug-and-play solution and a cleaner option than Y-harnesses. It can be used with any Castle CC BEC and servo on the market.
Useful for power hungry servos that need a dedicated power supply; or when running a high voltage servo with receivers or other servos that need lower voltage. This allows you to use the ESC's internal BEC at lower voltage to power the receiver, and the external BEC, along with the Servo Direct Connect, to power the steering servo at higher voltages.

Installation Instructions:
1. Install BEC per manufacturer's instructions and adjust output voltage to desired level.
2. Connect the servo to pins on side of Servo Direct Connect marked "Servo".
3. Connect the BEC to pins on side of Servo Direct Connect marked "BEC".
4. Slide included heat shrink over servo and BEC connections and heat to shrink.
5. Connect servo wire from Servo Direct Connect to appropriate channel on receiver.
Note: The receiver will still need to be powered from another source. (ex: ESC's internal BEC, receiver battery back, separate BEC.)

Power Management
CC BEC Pro (Battery Eliminator Circuit) is a small device that eliminates the need for a receiver battery. It draws voltage from the motorbatteries and drops it to a voltage level that is suitable for yourreceiver and servos. This is required in applications which use high-power servos, where the ESC does not have an internal BEC, or the existing BEC is inadequate.
The CC BEC Pro is designed to operate at up to 12S LiPo (50.4V) with a 20A* peakservo load. Generally used for 1/5 scale cars or cars utilizing multiple high powered digitalservos, lights, winches and other accessories. It is also useful in larger airplanes using 4 or more digital servos. The UBEC uses a high-performance DC-DC switching module that draws its voltage from 2-6S LiPos. The module regulates the voltage down to a previously defined value that is required by the receiver or other electronic devices. This is extremely stable and the output current is permanently up to 10A or briefly at 15A.

With the Hobbywing UBEC 25A HV you supply your receiving system safely and efficiently with power from a connected LiPo battery of 3 - 18s. A big advantage of the Hobbywing UBEC is the option of selecting the output voltage for the servos used. This is adjustable in four steps from 5.2V up to 8.4V.
For optimal security of the power supply, there is the option of connecting an external, additional backup battery. This automatically takes over the supply if the main battery should be empty or defective. The 3A-UBEC is a switch mode DC/DC regulator, it outputs a consistent safe voltage for the receiver, gyro and servos.
It is very suitable for RC helicopter and other RC models especially when the built-in BEC in the speed controller has a very limited output capability.
Why do you need UBEC?
The UBEC is a switch-mode DC regulator separated from ESC (ESC---Electronic Speed Controller for brushless/brushed motor), it will take high-voltage (5.5V to 26V) power from your battery pack and convert it to a consistent safe voltage for your receiver, gyro and servos. For traditional speed controller with a built-in BEC, it will very likely have only a limited ability to supply power to your receiver and servos without overheating. If you are using a high-voltage battery pack or have heavy servo load, you should consult the ESC specifications to determine what the stated recommendations or limitations are. In general, if you are using a 4 cells lithium battery pack, or more than a 12 cells Nickel based battery pack, you should consider using an UBEC because in such a case the built-in BEC of the ESC can support only 2 servos, which means it is not suitable for RC helicopter and big aircraft.
